The company product design process is an integral part of the Quality Procedures within the ISO 9001:2000 framework incorporating customer review and feedback. The company enjoys its own manufacturing facility and all products are rigorously tested prior to order fulfilment.

To offer an example of style (design excellence), in the pro-audio market, the LIGHT*WAND® range of performance products provides the highest quality LED lighting (researched for the aerospace industry to be safe and easy on the eye) through Bead*light® technologies (patents pending). The lamp shrouds are designed to provide the largest area of light on the console with no light spillage. The shroud is engineered from aerospace grade aluminium. The goosenecks are engineered in Germany and represent the best the company could source in the marketplace. The product contains “intelligent wiring” which routes to the highest single potential avoiding the need to rewire the connector in some circumstances. The lamp incorporates current control to provide even balanced light under the most rigorous of conditions. Each lamp head unit comes with a 5-year manufacturer’s guarantee. Beadlight does not compromise quality with inferior components or assembly processes.

We believe that professionals, who are discerning and passionate in their field, will tend to move to the product of highest quality. Beadlight chooses to serve professionals. As there are no comparable products commercially available (e.g. design, LED diffusion and quality of light, quality of product components and assembly, etc.) Beadlight seeks to do business with distributors, dealers and end users working at the professional end of their market place.

Product Development

Whilst it had recognised the potential of Light Emitting Diode (LED) lighting some years previously, it was not until Virgin Atlantic commissioned the design and manufacture of a LED aircraft cabin reading light some 6-7 years ago that its potential was realised. This pioneering design, the first ever commercially available aerospace LED reading light, proved to be the template for similar lamps on aircraft.

As the intensity of LEDs becomes ever more powerful the potential of retina damage has increased and as a direct result of this concern the company was commissioned to design safe aircraft cabin reading lights by KLM (later called the Flexible Beadlight®) and another for Virgin Atlantic  (later called the Swivel Bead*light®) which would be comfortable on the eye as well as ameliorate the risk of harm to their passengers. All Beadlight lamps are designed to achieve “Class 1 LED product” status as called on by European Standard EN 60825-1:2001.
So it was that Telectra (now Beadlight) invented Bead*light® technologies* that were incorporated into the lamp design. The finished products are flying on Airbus and Boeing aircraft now.

Employing the same Bead*light® Technologies, the LIGHT*WAND® performance product range provides professional performers and engineers with the highest quality of task lighting commercially available.

The ice*lighting™ product range utilises Bead*light® technologies to provide a visually stunning and blended scintillation of RGB LED light (Red / Green / Blue, Light Emitting Diodes) not available elsewhere. The technologies provide customisable, interactive and striking “look-at” LED based, architectural and entertainment video effects, lighting fixtures.
